I never got that impression, he said he lived with people other than his parents, true, but not that that man was who he livd with

Oh well, even if I can find a friend who remembers, all it does is prove I met someone who told a story, or that I told the same story for 32 years

I didnt go back and get pictures...which would be INVALUABLE right now if I did! :)

The man who served the food, the short-order cook, whom he called Pop looked like Frank Marshall Davis...and the young man told you he lived with people other than his parents...(he didn't say I live with my grandparents?)And he told you he was born in Mombasa...

And the poem 'POP' indicates something I would rather leave unspoken. He was reportedly seen selling drugs from a hot-dog cart with FMD when he was a teen-ager, and Stanley Armour and FMD took him to some disreputable nightspots by the sound of it... No wonder never leave your children with strangers is sound advice to mothers. He never had a mother. And the one we are expected to believe was his mother just popped in often enough to have her photograph taken by the look of it. Never mind about not going back to get pictures, I think we GET THE PICTURE.
