Yep— i bet they were rich, or atleast very well off- the state of Kansas will have all records in the mineral department an its public knowledge.. here in louisiana i can go to baton rouge and look up any wells that were drilled and info regaurding it.. Kansas may have it all in computor now—

The geologist was married to the eldest daughter of the family whose sister-in-law was the famous baby-sitter.
