That article from 1918 is remarkable. Spending one’s own money on one’s own larder was illegal and worthy of punishment in the United States. Unfreakingreal.

Just in the last couple of weeks I have collected 25 assorted cans of the Augason Farms dehydrated foods, the big one gallon cans, everything from bacon bits to powdered honey.

Picked up a 21’ travel trailer for $500 last year, repaired the damage from a leaking roof and its the emergency refuge on wheels. Bit by bit its being converted to be as much as possible to be “off the grid”.

Solar panels are next, and I hope to get a shortwave radio.

I absolutely believe in OPSEC, children are your biggest liability, they can be easily persuaded by sweet talking officials coming to schools to share at home secrets.

But then again this can be a strategic asset to draw out any local hunter confiscation agency in your area. get enough families together for a joint operation to tell the kids about your hoarding stash only to fake them out so they confiscate tins of sawdust and rusted bolts.
