And I think this is not how you run a constitutional republic, he continued. This ought to be in the hands of Congress, and it is an end-run. And whats ironic of course is for eight years, the Democrats have been screaming about the imperial presidency with the Bush administration the nonsense about the unitary executive. This is out-and-out lawlessness. This is not how you govern. And I think that is the first issue that should be on the table. We're starting to look more and more like Venezuela.

Yes, but who is going to do anything about it?

Yes. We crossed the line today between the rule of law and the rule of man. The legislative branch no longer makes our laws. Now the laws are whatever that individual in the White House says they are.

And what is the recourse? Too many RINO eunuchs in the House, a corrupted Just Us Department, and a Senate controlled by Prince Harry. Who/what will do anything? Will some entity file suit in the DC District Court?
We....are....so....screwed.....

I watched this segment, and was very disappointed that he didn’t use the phrase “impeachable offense”.

Someone crystallized it for me perfectly a few years ago:
The purpose of the U.S. Constitution is to protect us from OUR GOVERNMENT!

Ho-Hum...more outraged hand-wringing, more impotent inaction. Wake me up when someone stands up to this tyrant.

out-and-out lawlessness.
Oh please. He’s just noticing it now?
We became a banana republic back in 2009 when the usurping dictator started squatting in the White House.
He’s been lawless since the very beginning.
To: doc1019
When the Legislature represents their political parties above their states and districts, the party who holds the White House can pretty much do whatever it wants.
There really is no such thing as an impeachable offense because the Senate will always circle the wagons and protect the party leader.
So, nobody is going to stop this. And it will continue.
We don't pass budgets anymore. We don't declare war anymore. We implement policy through executive order and cede power to the Secretary of Health, or Homeland Security; or the FDA, and so on.
Congress is nothing more than the Fund raising arm of the political parties.
To: doc1019
Nobody really. Maybe one congressman wants to impeach and another wants to file a lawsuit. Hardly noise. What should happen is every Republican member of congress stand on the steps of the Capitol and state that enough is enough and this is not Venezuela.

It is times like these that I’m glad that I’m old and probably won’t be around to see the demise of this once great country.

The legislative branch no longer makes our laws. Legislative branch? Obama deemed that obsolete years ago. Those guys only hold a symbolic role these days, just for old time's sake.
To: plain talk
Forget law suits. Individual members of Congress have no legal standing to sue. Obama now gets Florida and Nevada and almost surely a second term. Demographics is destiny. We failed to take heed when Buchanan wrote “Death of the West.” The patient is now on life support!

As long as we rely on “elected officials” there will be no standing up to tyranny. It is We the People who give them power and it is “We the People” who can tell them to pound sand.
I often wonder what a month without a conservative (not a day) would do to the coffers of the elite. If we neither bought or sold, nor opened the doors of our business, or went to our jobs.
What would that do, if We could commit to it?
