Conservatives attending a recent regional conference in Chicago voiced their support in a straw poll for Florida US Senator Marco Rubios selection for the bottom-half of the 2012 GOP ticket, which is hardly surprising.
Rubio is the closest thing the Republican Party has to a rock star politician. The young Cuban-American is for the GOP in 2012 what Barack Obama was to the Democratic Party after 2004.

Jindal is the best choice I can think of.
Republican rock stars or Barack Obama, I will scream from the highest mountain every chance I get, to make sure that from now on, all presidents and vice presidents meet the eligibility requirements set down in our constitution in Article II (president) and Amendment 12 (vice president).
Original intent of the framers and subsequent Supreme Court decisions agree that you must be born on U.S. soil by TWO citizen parents. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they are talking about.
I am with you on this. But, the SC does not care and is willing to gut the Constitution so they can glad hand with the President.
Jindal was responsible for the Louisiana Purchase. He is another politician who puts on the social conservative mask and is a smooth talker while his record on the fiscal side is awful. He knows to press the right buttons to get support but is an establishment RINO.
Thanks for the info. I was wondering about that.
Now, do Rubio and Jindal have to cojones to both step up and say, “If I am picked I will not run as I am not a NBC?”
there is a court case monday regarding eligibility. Anyone with a brain knows that jindal is NOT eligible since his parents were not citizens when he was born in US.
Agree. But to challenge the candidacy the constitution also requires that a plantiff has standing. And so far no plaintiff has proven standing to challenge Obama’s legitimacy.
I will scream if Rubio or Jindal are chosen. NOT NBC period!
Lets just stomp all over the Constitution why don’t we? This is disgusting!
You can’t be serious. Jindal took on the most powerful unions in La and now La has the broadest school voucher program. This should go national and put the teacher’s union thugs out of business and is the surest way to school reform.
So lets say Jindal or Rubio gets the nod. And you live in a swing state (ohio for instance) where every vote counts. Does that mean you don’t vote?
That would be fantastic! Heavenly! It would be the only thing that would force the media to take on the issue of Obama's eligibility.
Please explain... I have yet to see anything in the news to lead me to believe he has RINO tendancies. What is the Louisiana Purchase? He can’t possibly be worse than Christie, Rubio, Daniels, Bush or any of the other ones being talked about.
Agreed. They were both anchor babies; and I do not mean that in a derogatory way.
Fortunately for Jindal (and Rubio), nobody is buying the made-up definition of Natural Born Citizen that birthers have been trying to sell in court case after losing court case (they've got a whole mountain of them now, each one a loser).
Yet on every Rubio or Jindal thread, the birther clown car shows up like clockwork, whining and stomping their feet that nobody will listen to them.
Why should they embrace this made-up nonsense? This so-called "requirement" that citizen parents are needed to confer Natural Born status is nothing but bunk. That's why it loses every time in court and you have Constitutional authorities like Newt Gingrich, conservatives who know what they're talking about, commenting that Rubio will make a great President someday.
I know Jindal sounds great out of state. He has a PR team that is first class! But to those that live in LA we see very bad Rhino behavior from him that is difficult to explain to out of state people.
He likes to pretend that he is like Gov Walker. But ALL of Jindal’s numbers are based on “one time money” that will not even be in our budget next year. Also he pays regular state employees from special funds so that he can tout that we have less government employees on payroll.
The school voucher program is already showing some serious problems with “schools” that do not even exist being approved to accept vouchers, which Jindal is now calling “scholarships”. And I can't even explain how frightening it is that Jindal pushed former Edwin Edwards ally John Alario for Senate president.
I truly wish Jindal was that man that Walker is; the man that his PR team pretends he is. But unfortunately he is not.
Jindal isn’t eligible and neither is Rubio. Think of another best choice thats a natural born citizen.
Leg it happen. NBC fight is on....
