good, cheap golf cart batteries

That seems to be something of an oxymoron. I have looked and deep cycle batteries are good but they ain't cheap. Where do you get the cheap ones?

About three years ago, I bought several pairs of golf cart batteries (12 volts per pair, each pair connected in series and paralleled to the next pair) at Sam's Club for about $80 each (if I remember correctly). Trojans at that time were $144 each (IIRC). The Sam's Club batteries have done about as well as Trojans would.
