Have you had any experience with the Kennedy/Oswald conspiracy theorists? I think it is in the nature of some people to continuously imagine twists and turns to a theory because the truth is just too boring. Every piece of information is seized upon with an "Ah Ha!" that proves something conspiratorial in the eyes of those who want to see it.
The mundane reality is just intolerable to some people.
