I hope the residents of Ocean Springs will vote accordingly.

The residents of Ocean Springs are the ones who put her there in the first place! The place is filled with others just like her. It's an artsy fartsy little liberal enclave among a generally solidly conservative Mississippi Gulf coast. Just like Texas has it's Austin, the Coast has it's O.S. Many of the folks that live there are raging libs. A friend of mine owned a thriving operation in the harbor; a large dry storage marina and a beautiful three story marine store with a restaurant serving some of the best burgers on the coast. Some of the nearby residents complained they didn't like the smell of fries cooking (the smell of the shrimp boats is more pleasant?) and through manipulation of the zoning ordinances forced them to sell out. The facilities will be torn down and made into, get this, "green space". Removing this business will make O.S. unique in that it will be the ONLY city harbor on the Coast without a place to eat. Actually it's hard to think of ANY harbor, anywhere, fresh or salt, that doesn't offer something to eat! Any municipality that destroys a booming business and it's tax revenue to create green space is obviously run by idiots and O.S. is no exception. On the few occasions that my wife and I decide to pay the city's 2% additional food tax and dine in Ocean Springs you can just about bet on finding their Mayor sidled up to the bar. She apparently enjoys her adult beverages. She's been involved in a couple hit and run incidents, one in Ridgeland where she hustled her way back to her hotel to sleep it off before facing authorities the next day. Like most Dems she's a smooth talking liar who is able to circumvent the laws when they should apply to her. Maybe when she actually kills someone (her hitting a elderly pedestrian came close) folks will start to ask questions but until then you'd better just stay out of her way. She's basically just a female version of Ted Kennedy but with smaller teats.
