Not one of the better grammatically written thesis, making it harder to follow, but interesting none the less.
He does well in his introduction which includes the following disclaimer . . .
"What initially began as an investigation into a political group on the extremist right, became a first-person account of the conflicts surrounding speech and public discourse, and the barriers to and consequences for unpopular speech.
When a question is particularly unpopular, attacking the questioners motives in an attempt to discredit him becomes a means to prevent having to answer the question in the first place. I was someone who happened to be at the convergence of a heavily charged political question."
Much to consider. Even I now have to contemplate the constitutional crisis this country is about to embark upon if only part of his thesis is true.
How can we the people have a Constitutional crisis when the elected slugs do not keep their oath to OUR Constitution? What we have is an ingoring of the Constitution, thus avoiding a ‘constitutional crisis’ by just assuming the document to be null and void thus not needing to keep an oath to uphold it. We live in a post Constitutional Republic. ... So how does it ‘feel’ to live under a federal oligarchy?
Holy cow, this guy’s an English major?
There’s more about this topic at this link, from August 2011: http://wtpotus.wordpress.com/2011/08/14/tim-adams-master-thesis-there-is-no-birth-certificate-for-obama/
Selected excerpts from the thesis and some transcription of the interview with Adams. The comments are good, too.
