At the time the 2007 COLB was issued, and for that matter all through the 2008 election, the governor of Hawaii was Linda Lingle, a Republican. She and members of her administration were the first Hawaiian officials to debunk the birther claims.

Don’t get me wrong — I’m sure you’ll say they’re lying too. I just wanted to point out that it’s not just Democrats.
