“I know a lot of old people it is rare to find one that is 96 and still in possesion of all their reasoning faculties.”

My father, at 97, was one of those ‘rare’ ones, in full possession of his reasoning and full mental faculties. It is much more rare for one to be 96 or 97 than it is for one of that age to be fully cognizant. I have known many, and many of them family members, to be fully cognizant at a ripe old age.

I intend to be numbered among them... :)

As to the Right Reverand Archbishop Loris Capovilla, his observations may indicate that he is wise beyond his years...

We all need to remember that the Holy Scripture trumps all Papal or Church Council pronoucements if they are contrary to God’s Word. And how is God’s Word understood with clear meaning? By the actions and unctions of the Holy Spirit indwelling each of us who are His (who belong to Jesus, the Christ, and are called by His name).
