As a kid growing up in the sticks of northern Florida we kept our heads shaved because it made it easier to find and remove the ticks.

Get some Guinea hens. They will eat every tick on you property.

My wife bought a cheap plastic tick remover that hooks on to the tick near it’s head. with a little twist, the tick comes off with it’s head intact.
Chickens in the yard greatly reduce the tick population, but then you have to fence the garden.

Solution: Stay away from cheap hookers and don’t share a bed with a Mexican immigrant.

Just recently heard that rubbing plain old liquid soap on them will make them back out. Haven’t tried it yet, but a number of folks on a local radio talk show called in and said it works.

Sulfur (from the feed store) sprinkled on shoes and pants legs keeps them off. Especially those creepy (what we call) seed ticks.
