Absolutely! Amen. That's the main point of the OP's post, after all; I seriously doubt that trebb was trying to wall-paper over President Bush's bad decisions... but is it so very hard to admit that President Bush is a good and honourable man, and that his character (not to damn with faint praise) makes those of the presidents before and after him seem downright maggot-ridden, by comparison? God bless and keep him, and I miss him, too.

Whoops... I should have specified:
his character (not to damn with faint praise) makes those of the presidents immediately before and after him seem downright maggot-ridden
I didn't want to lump President Reagan (God rest his soul!) and others in with that bunch...

All the others can vent about the obvious flaws and I understand and even agree, but the lower-than-trailer-trash we have now, and seeing President Bush still being humble and classy was what prompted me to toss it out. I also agree that The Gipper set the bar that all others since have yet to even approach.
