It’s a trick I learned from an old school a outside sales guy. We’d walk in to a building with those “No Soliciting” signs with a clipboard, hard hats, and some home made laminated ID cards hanging on our necks.

I’ve added those blister pack two way radios to the ensemble, which we actually used when we were putting in our range markers. So there we were a couple of neighborhood friends looking all official like staking out range markers along the major four lane, railroad tracks, etc.

A couple of cops drove past while we were about our task but none of them even slowed down, let alone stopped to ask what we were doing. Camouflage ain’t always a set of BDU’s or a ghillie suit my friend.

A clipboard and business suit can do wonders.
