Reminds me of a student intern where I used to work. Long haired skateboard riding kid was waiting for the light rail train when he saw a group of black kids coming his way. He thought of getting out of their way but then, for PC’s sake, decided not to profile them and remain where he was. Well, they beat him up and took his skateboard.
I lectured him about this foolish behaviour, I hope it sunk in. Fortunately all he got was a black eye and some bruises. It could have been a lot worse.
I used a skateboard once as a formidable weapon next time tell him to use it at least get a couple of whacks in before the mob overwhelms him
