any time money passes through the hands of two people

So if I buy, say, a used lawnmower from my neighbor, I should pay a 10% tax?? R U series?? That's hugh!

Yo! You do that now, when you by a used auto from a dealership, if there is a sales tax you are paying it on a used car. I would be willing to state that the product can’t be simply recycled but must be improved in some way, value must be added and the tax would only be on the value that was added. But remember I am opposed to income taxes, the government should not have first dibs on your labour!

I read an article about a tax plan that would tax all purchases at 0.5% from both the seller and the buyer, All other taxes would be eliminated, no taxes on saving or capital gains, but when you purchased a stock or bond the tax would apply.
I know that many here would like a flat tax, but I’m a believer in the idea that you should have first use of the fruit of your labour and that the government should not have first access to your money, that seems like indentured servitude to me.
