neverbluffer:
so far i have seen no answer to your pertinent question:
"How can the Obama Adminiatration pick this company, when the decision is up to individual states and jurisdictions to select the method of vote tabulation?"
I will try to come back and check out this thread again, but if you get a meaningful reply, fwd it to me, if you don't mind.
thanks.

Good question. I posed this to our county elections supervisor and he told me pretty much the same story.

The story has been on the Internet for a month.
Surely, Congress had to give some kind of approval. Counting US votes is a multi-million $$$ business.
Where is the GOP on this? Silent, as usual. To quote Sir Thomas More in A Man for All Seasons, 'silence gives consent.'
The worst thing the Founding Fathers failed to do was insert term limits into The Constitution.

Surely, Congress had to give some kind of approval. Congress is window dressing. Hussein don't need no Congress. He don't need no Constitution. He don't need no American vote counters. All he needs is his Executive Orders. Heil, Hussein!

I would assume they were, since this involves an off-shore/foreign company.
And, I would assume the FEC (Federal Election Commission) is/will be handling things.
I also assume that we still have a representative government. (Does that need the [/s] tag?)
WHERE ARE THE REPUBLICANS????? Are they so feckless that they can't even raise eyebrows at this? Both the House and Senate should be DEMANDING hearings.

I am not so sure this belongs on the nut job conspiracy list, but on a regular, ALARM list, if we have one.

When I cast my ballot in November, does this mean that my votes even for my state and local candidates will be counted by this company in Spain too? If not, how/when/where would the counting for the individual races be divided up? This makes no sense on many many levels. How will the counting of the presidential votes be split form the counting of my local races?
