The real problem with America is we let stupid people vote. It wasn’t that way originally for very good reason. We changed that and are now learning what that reason was. Stupid people will always vote themselves “bread and circuses” to the detriment, and ultimate destruction, of the Republic.

(If Obama is the answer, it must have been a really stupid question)

Agreed, plus those on welfare should not vote either. I can make exceptions for Social Security, since that is forced on us when we get old and/or if your infirm where you can work but you must still pass the intelligence test. I would have have a test that would have basic math, reading comprehension and basic American history that you must pass before you can vote. As to welfare, as the saying goes, "those who rob Peter to pay Paul will always count on the vote of Paul."

The real problem with America is we let stupid people vote. What happens when people are no longer allowed to be stupid?
How is it determined who IS stupid?
What kind of treatment would be available to help those who are too stupid?
Would we need a "stupid Czar" to set up a bureaucracy to regulate and monitor stupidity to it can be managed?......
What is the IRS going to need to get from the public to support this endeavor?
Will it help or harm our party politically if we pursue this?
Sorry, the liberal in me made me do it... ; )

Probably better correlation is we let people vote and have access to government largess. It ought to be one or the other - then the stupidity factor becomes less important, probably irrelevant. IOW, there have always been stupid voters.

"The real problem with America is we let stupid people vote." Also, disinterested people who for various reason don't take the time to learn about the candidates. (This is why so many women vote wrong.) We need to have a simple civics test to quality a voter, similar to the driver's license test.
