Report: Springsteen dedicates song performance to Trayvon Martin

Is “The Boss” weighing in on the Trayvon Martin case? Starting with his show in Tampa, another song was added to Bruce Springsteen’s set list — American Skin (41 Shots).

It’s a song Springsteen wrote years ago and, according to music lore, was his response to the 1999 shooting death of unarmed West African immigrant Amadou Diallo. Diallo was killed by a group of then-New York City police officers. He was shot 41 times, according to a police report.

Trayvon, 17, was shot and killed on Feb. 26 in Sanford, Fl. by George Zimmerman, a 28-year-old insurance underwriter and college student who has yet to be charged.

Trayvon was unarmed, carrying just candy and ice tea. The death and lack of an arrest has triggered a nationwide crusade for Zimmerman’s arrest and calls to change Florida’s controversial Stand Your Ground law...

I rate springsteen right up there with jane fonda ,,, two years ago I used my springsteen CDs for target practice .
