Police had been called to the neighborhood 402 times between January 2011 and the night of the shooting, and they investigated 9 burglaries, 8 thefts and one shooting during that period.
That does not change the facts of the case, bit I think it certainly would change a lot of peoples’ impressions to understand the context.
