A Message from Gina From the Rush Net

OK--well what happened was that in early 2010, Clear Channel changed the format of WXKS AM 1200 to conservative talk radio. It was named "Rush Radio" for about a year and now is just "Talk 1200". They have Jeff Katz (local) in morning, then Glenn Beck, Rush 12-3, Jay Severin (local), Hannity, etc. The station's approximate day signal is in the graphic below.

If you can't pick up AM 1200, then try:
--AM 580 WTAG Worcester
--AM 610 WGIR Manchester

WXKS, WTAG, and WGIR are all owned by Clear Channel, whose Premiere division syndicates Beck, Rush, Hannity, etc. They wanted to put their shows on the same station. Daytime signal for WXKS AM 1200:

Unfortunately, I cannot get a good signal from 1200 AM, nor from 610 AM, nor from 580 AM.

None of them carry to my area. I can get 580 for a little bit on Rte 2 passing through Fitchburg-Leominster, but it fades rapidly after that.

610 AM does not come in at all in my travels. Only when I’m in the Concord-Manchester area, which is not often. It does not even come in well in Nashua.

Good to know that Jay Severin has a gig, though I won’t be able to hear him. He used to be on KBK but got fired for calling some politico a “fat lesbian”.

I can’t stand Red Jim Broude and his mushy-middle, cigarette-smoking, female counterpoint.

Michael Graham is ok, most of the time.

Smirkanish is a closet liberal. Can’t stand him.

I listen to Howie on RKO until it fades.

Seems like RKO also dropped Savage, so I can’t find him anymore.

hi, sad about not being able to get those stations. I don’t think Rush is even on satellite radio if you should have that.

Actually it was John Depetro who got fired from WRKO for
calling MA gov candidate Grace Ross a “fat lesbian” (which she is), and earlier he called Matt Amorello, “fag Matt. Wife wears the pants.” Sponsors objected. Jay, however, had been suspended from WTKK numerous times for such things as
comments about killing Muslims, etc. and he got canned for
remarks about sexual harrassment. He told about his own
situation with co-workers he had, etc.

My sister is a liberal and when I mentioned on facebook
that Jim and Margery were getting an extra hour, she said,
“Jim and Margery? I LOVE them!” which should tell you something.

WRKO also does still carry Savage BUT sometimes he gets pre-empted by sports. On the nights of the NH and
MA primaries, they had primary coverage. Last Tue. WRKO had IL primary coverage. On Thu they carried Red Sox preseason action, as sister station WEEI had the Celtics instead.

LOL!!! Right! Now I remember. I LOVED John Depetro. Where is he now?

And you’re right about Severin, too. I remember reading about it somewhere online. He was more of a Libertarian than a conservative.

Thanks for the tip about 94.9. I can probably pick them up going through the Fitchburg area. My radio picks up FM better than AM anyway.
