I remember the Left being in a panic when Bush signed EO 12919. Same kind of language in the EO. This was a further extension of a set of Clinton EO's, which were an extension of Reagan EO's, etc...

Each EO touching on this subject takes into consideration the previous EO's and the new legal landscape of tools for them to work with. In each case, they are given more and more power.

And yes... This does make them ever more powerful a Dictator and the bar of using those powers gets lower with each iteration.
