If you've already read the actual laws currently on the books would you care to posit an answer to your own question?
Thank you for the links to some of the foundations this EO was built upon. From other threads it seems it may have roots even farther back,(1939).
To answer your post directly, indeed,I have not “read the actual laws on the books”, and like many in our nation these days, am learning on the run. Legalese is not my first language : /
IMHO, the heightened response to this EO, is that the fears first voiced by many, (even here!) concerning some of GWB’s actions, have come to fruition today. The groundwork, and precedents that were put into place by many well meaning, and some maybe not so benign presidents have now provided 0 with a near perfect platform to close the loop on our freedom. And yes, if allowed to do so, I do believe that 0 will use this EO.
Thanks again for the links, even though reading it made my head swim, and my heart ache.
