Santorum: "I Was Basically Pro-Choice All My Life, Until I Ran for Congress" (1995)

IN THE SUMMER OF 1989, Rick Santorum and a fellow associate at the Pittsburgh law firm of Kirkpatrick and Lockhart left work to drive to Three Rivers Stadium for the firm's annual softball game. Sitting behind the wheel, Santorum popped in a tape, and on came the reedy voice of a man lecturing as if to a classroom.
Listen, Santorum said. Newt Gingrich.
Who the hell is Newt Gingrich? the co-worker asked.
Santorum explained that Gingrich was a congressman from Georgia, and that he was the guy to listen to if you were considering a future in politics. At the time, says the co-worker, I had no idea that was something Rick was interested in. As it turned out, Santorum was already telling people he was running for Congress in the upcoming election. The tape was something he had ordered from GOPAC, Gingrich's political action committee, full of do-it-yourself campaign tips for aspiring candidates.
In recent years, of course, Gingrich's tutelage of Santorum has taken on a much more direct nature. Last September, Santorum, at 37 a Republican U.S. senator from Pennsylvania, managed the Senate floor debate as it passed its welfare bill, all the while working closely with Gingrich, now speaker of the House of Representatives and the country's most powerful Republican. Santorum, who prior to his election to the Senate last year served two terms in the House with Gingrich, is in fact known on Capitol Hill as Gingrich's protégé and his point man in the Senate. The two meet weekly for early-morning swims at the House gym.
Much of Santorum's record, thus far, has been a series of tantrums. More than a dozen times in his first few months in the Senate, Santorum took to the floor to trash Bill Clinton for not drafting a balanced-budget proposal...

He’s making sense. Try rebutting his posts with something other than shouts of ‘Newbie!’.

It makes sense to anyone with common sense.
If only your candidate was as literal in his interpretation of the 6th and 10th Commandments, as you’re trying to be on the Animal Farm, we wouldn’t be having this discussion, now would we.
And remember, NO SLEEPING IN BEDS! err {edit} WIF SHEETS!

It makes no sense. Let's look at it:
Animals! The DemocRats blew up the windmill with an Acorn!
And Napoleon falsely accused Snowball of destroying the windmill.
So, given the context of that passage in Animal House, it comes across that you are inferring that claims about Acorn are false flags.
But it's pretty clear from your posts on this thread that you ain't hitting on all cylinders.

Animal Farm, Senator Blutarsky.
But it is entertaining watching you try to assemble some constructive result out of those seven years of College.

GeeOpie - that's an interesting thought. Let's develop it further.
Who is Penny Pritzker, who is Roland Arnall, and which of them isn't holding a flag made out of subprime a$$paper?

Then go look for it...
It's out there on You Tube....Karen Santorum interview with CBS....a couple or so weeks ago.----
Go listen to her own words.....or would you rather make it up as you go along.
Karen Santorum doesn't lie, and she doesn't back away!
But, my goodness, she is a repentant and forgiven woman....a supportive and loving wife and mom....
...a lovely and intelligent lady....Rick Santorum, no doubt, is a proud husband!..
..'ye without sin cast the first stone'....
I would say most of us have had repenting to do from our early 20 something years....
...I'm not without sin, and I bet you aren't either.

Hmm. Ok. Mr. Google says perhaps
this was the flag you had in mind?
Charles C. Johnson, Big Government, February 27, 2012
One of the consistent refrains from the Rick Santorum campaign is that he opposes government bailouts, but as a senator, he supported the something-for-nothing policy most responsible for the housing bubble. Like George W. Bush and other compassionate conservatives, he was naively obsessed with affordable housing for low-income potential home buyers, a mismanaged cause that led to billions in loan defaults and which the IRS called a scam.
In his book It Takes A Family (2005), Santorum wrote at length and approvingly of the Nehemiah Project...

Forget "Who is Penny Pritzker, who is Roland Arnall, and which of them isn't holding a flag made out of subprime a$$paper?"
What is the Nehemiah Project?
Guess your "False Flag" misdirection didn't turn up quite what you expected, ehh Suuper Genius?
That's ok, "it" happens -- even to the good guys.
" Oops. "

I haven’t seen any evidence of him helping Santorum in any caucus, like Ron Paul did for Mitt Romney in Missouri and like Huckabee did for McCain in 2008. That would be the true sign Gingrich was serious, if he was in 3rd in a caucus and threw his supporters to Santorum, like Paul and Huckabee.
