I’m quite shocked at how eagerly some are to accept government control as ‘conservative’. Regardless of the OP, their opinions on government control are now known to all who’ve read this thread.

I'm not one of those people.

And your 'shock' would be more believable if you haven't been showing up on every Santorum thread, picking up whatever line of attack his critics and the media lay out for you.

I'm surprised that my tagline alone hasn't yet clued you in on my view of the federal government.

So any conservative running for office better dang well hew to it.

And Santorum is about as far from it as Romney... heck, I'd go so far as to say that Santorum is further away than that. Closer to Obama.

For both believe in the moral purity of their beliefs... and use it to justify government control over the lives of all Americans. Whereas Romney has no beliefs to use in justifying anything.
