One single example is by definition utterly insufficient to establish what is "normal." Even the DEA isn't dumb enough to say 21st century America is identical to 19th century China.

@I am AGAINST the legalization of drugs.
It is a Libertarian idea, not a conservative one.

What do you base your assertion upon?

The DEA itself gives figures that show a substantial decline in addiction rates in the US between 1880 and 1900, when these drugs were completely legal. See post #6

How do you explain that?
