Exactly so. Hopefully there are enough uncorrupted people left who can see this through.
Even if those holding the levers of power derail this effort, we must inform and replace them. No one said it was easy. Now is not the time to waiver, especially when this can be bloodless. The Founders paid dearly. Let's not dishonor their sacrifice.

My point was that the founding fathers DID accept the reality of the situation. There came a point when the founding fathers accepted the fact that the soapbox and ballot box were no longer viable means of securing liberty and justice for the people.
