From what I’ve read, the darts just disintergrate after impact.

And where is the dart? Did it auto-eject and self-destruct? HCN freezes at 8°F. A sliver of frozen HCN from some device which penetrates the skin, and there won't be anything left over after a few seconds.
Not to get to focused on this, there are a number of ways to assassinate people. His death was just a little too convenient for my taste.
