Get a 2nd opinion on your daughter. Make sure she gets plenty of vitamins especially Vitamin B and D3 (sunshine).
Some neuro diseases can be partially vitamin deficiency issues. Fish oil supplements are good as well. (replace all the transfats in our body)

I know she is low on vitamin D. There are other conditions brought on by stress, and our house has been stressful. My husband’s job is not secure, and I don’t work. We have savings, but I’m still worried about medical expensed adding up. We’ll have cobra for a few years.

Let me add to this excellent post by telling you your daughter MUST add higher doses of a quality magnesium to her diet. Magnesium deficiency is what makes our muscles cramp and twitch.

Start taking (immediately) magnesium glycinate. I like Metagenics brand but I’m sure there are others out there.

We are all drinking too much filtered water which removes our minerals and then we have a plethora of symptoms almost all related to mag deficiency.

As for your husband, and the rest of you, get on Iodoral, which is iodine and iodide. There are iodine receptors in the prostate, just like the thyroid, breasts, ovaries. Our tissues expand in search of iodine. Iodine also facilitates ‘apoptosis’ which is the natural death of abnormal cells.
