First good news in a long time. My husband’s post surgery PSA is undetectable. He doesn’t need to do radiation therapy.
Tomorrow, we see the neurologist for my daughter. Don’t know what news we’ll get there.

The sad thing about today is that after we got the good news, my husband went into work and they terminated him.
He needed to leave because the job is horrible, but I wanted it to be on his terms.
He has another job lined up, but it has terrible insurance. It also pays about half of his old job. Hopefully, we can just buy cobra coverage for now even if it is expensive.

We saw the neurologist at Stanford yesterday. She did a much more thorough examination of my daughter, and she asked a lot more questions.
She strongly thinks that my daughter just has tics that have gotten worse with stress. My daughter has had small facial tics, and my son has tics.
The neurologist wants my daughter to go into talk therapy for stress and work on releiving her stress (yoga, exercise, etc).
She said if the tic in her hand is not better in 4 months, then we’ll try botox.
The neurologist said that dystonia is very rare, and if it is dystonia then it will get worse. She said that tics will change. She also just thinks that the liklihood of tics is much greater.
I like this neurologist’s approach. She is not jumping into medicating my daughter.
The new goal of our household is stress reduction.
The prayers are working. I personally think that my husband losing his job is an answer to prayers. He needed out of that job because it was too stressful. We have been very good with our money, and we have a lot of savings. He can easily take a job that doesn’t pay as much, and it won’t change our financial lifestyle.
