On July 2, 1980, however, President Carter signed Proclamation 4771, Registration Under the Military Selective Service Act, retroactively re-establishing the Selective Service registration requirement for all 1826 year old male citizens born on or after January 1, 1960. [13] Only men born between March 29, 1957, and December 31, 1959, were completely exempt from Selective Service registration. [14] The first registrations after Proclamation 4771 took place on Monday, July 21, 1980, for those men born in January, February and March 1960 at U.S. Post Offices. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays were reserved for men born in the later quarters of the year, and registration for men born in 1961 began the following week. [15]
Everybody makes jokes about this. I think that it's actually much worse than anything from Chicago- Exactly who or what foreign country I don't have a clue- but it's NOT a bunch of Al Capone wanabes from Chicago.
Right!!! This is extremely serious, as was stated at the press conference!!!!!
I know it was reinstated, but do not know the year that that had occured. All I can tell you is that when I went to do it (I believe in early 1976), I was told it was no longer required.
From U.S. Military History of the Draft...
The registration requirement was suspended in April 1975. It was resumed again in 1980 by President Carter in response to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Registration continues today as a hedge against underestimating the number of servicemen needed in a future crisis.

But did not the requirement to register for the draft imply that you were a US citizen? Suppose at the time that Obama was required to register, he could not provide documents that he was a US citizen. I would love to see his application form for admission to Occidental college.
No, when we say political mob, we mean the state where 4 of the last 8 governors have gone to jail. Illinois is THE ROOT of political corruption in the USA.
Baraq spent all those years as a community organizer essentially getting a Masters degree in “operations”.
He truly has been educated by the worst of the worst and surrounded himself with people like Valerie Jarrett and William Daley who have spent their lives in this system
It wasn’t until I came to FR that I learned what kept the Clintons from using their vaunted private detective operation to expose the background of Obama. The Chicago mob has a tactical nuke they threatened the Clintons with - likely information related to all the suspicious deaths (aka Arkancides) that happened to people associated with the Clintons.
I doubt that many actually think that this was NOT a fake but who are you going to believe - the Hawaiian Government or those that claim it is fake?
Seems to be the quote of the day - Government quotes or others that really should know. If you have not figured out that the Government only lies when it is necessary (seems to be more frequently these days), then you have not been paying attention.
I am not keeping my hopes up that videos of Obama running down the USA will affect his voters.
Clinton protested the USA on foreign soil and who cared?
Obama’s life is one big lie.
Registration began again in late 1978 or 1979. I registered in 1980.
What really bothers me is that the Democrats seem not to care! Is that really American?
Democrats hate America.
no illegal & legal aliens residing in the us must register..
I’d like to believe this however,
1. My first explanation would be the “19” in 1980 simply didn’t get inked, wasn’t pressed down on, was worn, or all three.
2. Yes the “80” appears slightly out of position, but this is a hand loaded stamper and
3. IF you are going to create an “80” why wouldn’t you get the numbers “19” and create a “1980” just like the ones you are trying to duplicate?
