It is NOT the equipment, it is the software which is in question, and OCR software has specific qualities to it. They are repeatable regardless of what machine you run the software on.
OCR is a 30 year old technology. There are many different versions of it, each with different capabilities. There are even competing international standards.
So anyone saying that “OCR does this every time” is talking BS.
