It`s down to this:

1. Women voters don`t like Gingrich and refuse to support him.
2. Indies and mods don`t like Santorum and refuse to support him.
3. Sane voters don`t like Paul and refuse to support him.
4. Conservatives don`t like Romney and refuse to support him.

So.... now what?

That is about it. Not perfectly down the line, but each candidate has his population of people who will refuse a vote for him. I am going to just forget about Paul because he is like crabgrass. Working for Romney or not, no one can get rid of him.

Romney has the money. That is why some call him inevitable. I am not sure if the media just calls him that because of his money and infrastructure, or if they also have offers they can’t refuse, but he is the fighting powerhouse that some Americans tnk looks like a president, some Amwricans think “well, at least he willbe good for the economy.”

Santorum tells truths we conservatives have longed to hear, will also be good on the eonomy — getting rid of Obamacare, which we don’t believe Romney will have a real mandate to do, will be one of the most important Economic advantages we will have — will be a good steward of the office, but his focus on social issues has given him the twitter moniker of Saintorum and a whole lot worse. He doesn’t seem to realize one has to slowly and carefully get Americans used to new social truths.

Newt is the smartest guy in the room and good at debates. But he is also seen as a fat, greedy, angry satyr. Voters think they understand him because every move he makes is like those slob husband characters on tv: pure selfishness, gratification of Immediate needs only.

I don’t think newt can beat Romney at this point. I am not too sure Santorum can. If he could have taken Michigan, that would have helped a lot.

But Dan is right. Santo is the only one left with any of a chance. It’s a free country, sort of. No one is forced to strategize. Vote for whom you want but do it with open eyes. It’s not november any more. It’s super tuesday. No way for Gingrich to beat Romney unless there were a brokered convention and there won’t be if newt gets the anti-Romney votes in take all states.

"2. Indies and mods don`t like Santorum and refuse to support him."

This isn't true, recent polls show him doing better than any other Republican (beating or tying 0 in two polls) in Ohio, a key swing state. And that is without very much name recognition yet.

At this point Santorum seems the only hope. IMO, Romney won't beat 0, he will be painted as an "out of touch Country Club one percenter" who "isn't concerned about poor people". Plus he has the likability factor of a lizard.
