Good points!
A lot of people here scoff and Newt's bold plans such as a renewed technical challenge as in space. They say we are broke, we can't do it. I say boldness if its own economic multiplier and bold technical challenges even more so.
I am afraid we will just take the easy out and continue to kick the can down the road but now perhaps in more “conservative” fashion. I guess rushing to precipice at 60 mph is better then rush toward it at 120 mph. Gives some time to turn around things in the future. Not as much momentum !

“They say we are broke, we can’t do it.”

Santorum said that.
Many people may be broke, but not Rick, not him, NO.

After he left Washington in 2006, losing the reelection 41% to 59% (seems that he deeply disappointed the voters who elected him in 2000), he went back home and got ten times more money than his salary in Congress, from the companies he pushed laws for hundreds of millions dollars, when he was Senator.

Instead of $174,000 a year as senator, he has now an income of $1.5 million...
