I watched an episode of Doomsday Preppers the other night. One segment covered a self-described New England liberal’s preparations. She focused on food independence, critical skills, and community survival involvement. But she and her neighbors eschewed all physical defense relying on the goodwill of others (invaders).

She is your typical Vermont liberal. They live in a bubble world. They do not want to see the true, ugly side of humanity. They hate guns. Anyone who has a gun (legally) is a right-wing fanatic. We can all live on love and group hugs. Sadly, if the SHTF, she will be the first to go down by the looters.

Well, as far as longterm survival goes...we all know what the most available “large animal type” protien source will be. A large smoker would come in handy.
