Bob Chapman, The International Forecaster, is back again discussing the imminent departure of Greece from the Euro. While it may seem extremely painful and destructive for now, in the long run it will be a plus. They won't be able to borrow money, which will force them to produce more at home and to build a sustainable economy. They will be on a COD basis with the rest of the world, but perhaps the Chinese and Russians will extend them some credit. And may be GE Capital will come to their rescue. Whenever there's a high profile bankruptcy stateside, GE is often seen rushing in with Debtor-In-Possession financing at reasonable rates with good terms. Because under the bankruptcy, their new debt gets paid before everyone else's. So perhaps they'll do the same for the birthplace of democracy.
Elsewhere, in the US things aren't looking a whole lot better. Bob foresees the right of basement revolutionaries. These are children who due to economic circumstances can't go out and buy homes for themselves, so they're forced to live in mom and dad's basement and make due. This generation has missed out on the American Dream and they're extremely unhappy about it. Will they start a new movement aimed at recapturing the American spirit and drive. We all hope so, but no one has seen them emerge from the base apartments with pitch forks yet.
I’d say later rather than sooner. The EU is pretty resistant to common sense, or reality.
If it wasn’t so tragic, it would be laughable the way the media wrings their hands over default. I feel like screaming, “Let them default!”
Let California default, and then no one will lend them money. Layabouts will have to work. What would be better?
America is on the same downward spiral as Greece.....politicians know it, and so do bankers. Greece’s problem-—like the US-—is a costly useless government run by greedy self-serving politicians.
Greece was hollowed out from within by rapacious politicians——535 Greek govt agencies were found fully staffed with no discernible purpose.
The politicans’ big grab is on now; our country is being robbed of its future by conniving politicians borrowing and spending in order to finance their political ambitions.
HERE’S HOW POLS WORK THE CON GAME Cuomo The Ambitious (D-gov NY) goes to Buffalo bearing govt gifts of a billion dollars-—looted from tax coffers. NY is deeply in debt....... but Democrat con artist Andrew Cuomo doesn’t give a fig-—he’s piling on more debt.....debt that will finance his political ambitions for higher office.
Cuomo The Ambitious con man knows unions (and other voting blocs) will get a chunk of the billions-—which will then be laundered into his campaign coffers as “contributions.”
They are learning, slowley and painfully, that you must live within your means.
Just making people understand that government spending hurts the economy instead of helping it is a hurdle these days.
Absolutely correct... Did you have hiccups when this was posted 3 times? : )
Sarkozy is up for reelection in April (I think). He'll do just about anything to prevent a Greek default until then. And Merkel is going along with his game. *That* is the current reality.
Politicians are the enemy within——these self-serving turds dont give a whit about anyone but themselves.
LOL-——honest-—I have no idea.
Store up on canned foods, and other goods, in case our dollar falls drastically.
Many fear that if Greece falls, it will start a domino effect. All this internationalism and globalism has put uall in danger of the undertow.
Let’s just hope the coming revolution is done at the ballot box and not in the streets.
