I've been hoping for a Ross Perot type insurgency with a conservative at the head. Something that would make the Republican Party into the Whig Party. Unfortunately, no one looks likely to step up. We could start a new party, but that would not be likely to gain traction quickly enough to affect this election cycle. One strong personality, with good funding, on the other hand, could overtake Romney in short order, and then force the RINOs to decide whether they want to join us or vote for Obama. Let them hold their noses for once.
March and April are kind of the deadlines for something like that to happen.
And Romney will NEVER have the luxury of cash from China that Obama will. And he will NEVER inspire a turnout from the Right. He will spend ALL his money and he will lose, just like McCain.
Conservatives don’t believe in Romney.
The GOP doesn’t believe in Conservatives.
“I’ve been hoping for a Ross Perot type insurgency with a conservative at the head.”
That gave us Bill Clinton.
