Myth #3: Marijuana = Alcohol Legalization advocates link marijuana and alcohol as equally mild intoxicants, suggesting that they deserve equal treatment under the law. However, as the above research suggests, marijuana is more dangerous to the health and safety of society. This is nonsense... Alcohol can cause greater physical harm for example to the liver.

In 2011, Gallup reported that 62% of 18-29 year olds and 50% of the general public supports the legalization of marijuana;
no wonder food prices went up....

I have seen the damage that pot usage can and does cause.... it is not pretty... having said that, the penalties for simple possession are far more damaging to the indivudual than the drug itself.....and this does not take into account swat team raids resulting in death.... legalization, no.... decriminalization, yes..

Tobacco and alcohol have caused more deaths in one day in this country than cannabis has caused globally from the dinosaurs to the present.
This article is "Reefer Madness" buttwipe and the insinuation that a person is liberal because of cannabis use is the big brown hashmark down the middle of it.

Weak, very weak. There are stronger cases that could be made, the author chooses not to use them. No one says alcohol and mj are equally mild. They say that relative to mj, etoh is a horrifyingly dangerous product that results in the destruction of families, properties,and lives every day.

Alcohol kills tens of thousands a year in just auto crashes alone. How many are due to pot use?
This dismissive attitude towards alcohol simply because it is a part of society is silly. Pot was part of society, too, until big business didn’t like it as a competitor.

Marijuana has a history of being linked to crime in the United States and throughout the world. 60% of arrestees test positive for marijuana use in the United States, England, and Australia (Stimson 6). 98% of arrestees test positive for bread use in the United States, England, and Australia (Mr.Unique)

In fact, in Amsterdam, one of Europes most violent cities, pot is legal and a prevalent aspect of society (Stimson 6). Garbage. Now for the facts:
With three days to go until 2012, there have been 163 murders in the Netherlands this year, five fewer than in 2010, according to the annual Elsevier magazine survey.
In 2009, there were 178 murders. Most murders - 16 - took place in Amsterdam, the same as in 2010.

Amsterdam is as safe as the safest US cities.

What the fudge are “Millennials”? Why do we feel the need to name generations, let alone coming up with stupider and stupider ones?
