I thought this came up during Bush administration and it was shown a sitting President could not be compelled to attend court hearings (or else that’s all they would ever be doing). Regardless, people on here should be careful what they wish for. Obama can be beat in November but if he doesn’t run, who thinks that Cankles Clinton would be beaten? I think she probably would massacre Newt and certainly Mitt wouldn’t have a chance against her. I’m afraid she would pull in the Senate and House with her.

That may well be true, but as much as I would hate to see it, if that's the cost of adhering to the Constitution, so be it.
