There is no way in hell I’ll vote for Gingrich or Romney. If they are nominated, an Obama victory lies solely with the GOP (as an aside, I probably wouldn’t have voted for Perry either), not an individual voter who is exercising his right to vote as he sees fit.

OK...and I'll admit up front that I might be wrong here, but....

Isn't what the previous poster is trying to say, this?: "If you can't find it within yourself to vote FOR a rino candidate, then for pete's sake, vote AGAINST the stain."

And your statement infers that if you don't get the candidate you want for the rino ticket, then you won't vote at all....am I correct?

Then, might it also be true that an "empty" vote on the rino side means a non-counterbalanced vote on the side of the stain!!

No indeed, the gop - regardless of how one may consider it - would not be at "fault" here just because they did not hand you your particular choice of candidate. It is an INDIVIDUAL decision for whom to vote (or against whom to vote as the case may be) and whether to vote at all.

A "missing" or "non" vote in this case could be defined as your preference for the stain over a rino candidate that is not of your choosing.

IMHO...and ONLY IMHO....there is nothing - repeat NOTHING - and NO ONE - worse than the stain.

Period.

“If you can’t find it within yourself to vote FOR a rino candidate, then for pete’s sake, vote AGAINST the stain.”

I have done this for three straight elections. I have grown tired of it. I will no longer vote for the lesser of two evils.

“And your statement infers that if you don’t get the candidate you want for the rino ticket, then you won’t vote at all....am I correct?”

I’ll vote. Just not for Gingrich, Romney, or Obama. If I have to write in a candidate that I like, I will.

“No indeed, the gop - regardless of how one may consider it - would not be at ‘fault’ here just because they did not hand you your particular choice of candidate. “

It’s all opinion, but in my view, it is the GOP. They know who they want before the process starts: someone who will ease the relentless pressure from the media for a “moderate”. The GOP has “liberal light” since Reagan and will not support someone who doesn’t fit the mold. I can no longer reward this behavior with my vote. You may disagree and that’s what is, at least for now, great about our country.

“IMHO...and ONLY IMHO....there is nothing - repeat NOTHING - and NO ONE - worse than the stain.”

The engineers from both parties are driving the train to destruction. With the pool of engineers available, there is just the slow path and the fast path. The engineers who talk about alternative paths are quickly shelved. If you take the fast path, you can pick up the pieces sooner and start over. Personally, I will not vote for either the slow or fast path.
