Wow. Let’s be Frank... Charlemagne also named one of his sons Pippen. All of his sons died before him which possibly extended the dark ages by centuries. Charlemagne was WAY ahead of his time and one of his sons, following his lead, could have blossomed the enlightenment far earlier than actually occurred.

Hello cousin. Charles Martel is both my 38th, 40th and 43rd GGF....and those are the lines I know of. The 40th/43rd is through the Nevilles and through the Waldegraves. 38th through the Irish side of Robert De Brus and the Cathcarts.
