Bottom line: Who do you want facing Obama in those debates? I like Rick, but Newt will clearly show a distinct difference and make the arguments that need to be made to totally destroy Obama and expose him for the Socialist he is. No one ever says Santorum won that debate. If you want a conservative, you’re best shot is Newt.

I thought the same thing back when Alan Keyes was running against Obama for the ILL senate seat. After all, who could beat Alan Keyes in a debate? After watching that highly promoted debate, Keyes did great - but it didn’t matter.

I was impressed by how Obama handled the debate as one might be impressed by the cunning craftiness of Lucifer. That’s when I knew Obama was going to eventually be President.

In the end, the general public are not like you larryleo. If they were, we probably wouldn’t be in this debacle. Substance and debate skills are -essential- but they also have to -like- our nominee. The problem with the drones supporting Romney is they think personality is the ONLY thing that mattters.

I will support Newt or Santorum but I think Santorum has enough ability to make cogent arguments when put on the spot -and- a congenial enough personality to appeal to a broad base of voters.
