He’s still not a good passer. Just barely adequate. His pass to get a third down before the Steelers got their last possession was awful. But the last pass of the game looked decent. What Tebow has as a plus is excellent scrambling ability and the body of a running back. Add to that confidence and the composure to make the play. He’s like Favre in that respect although he isn’t close to Favre’s arm. Quite a few of his passes wobble. He doesn’t have bad arm strength, but he’ll really have to work on his release and accuracy. However, I think the Bronco’s are quite happy with him at the moment. Winning is the only stat that really counts.
I know the pass you mention. He didn’t step into it. He kind of stepped to the right and it went low.
I think they can get him throwing the ball well. You don’t always have to throw a pretty spiral. Look at Billy Kilmer. If you’re old enough, you remember he never threw a spiral but got the job done!
He’s not done yet this year and he’ll get a lot more preseason work before next season.
