I enjoyed your simplistic Monday morning quarterback analysis. It agrees with the left-wing Village Voice opinion, that’s for sure. They hate Giuliani as well. I tend to agree with the conservative National Review’s opinion, however:

“In retrospect, it seems clear that the command center’s location was the consensus choice of a number of top officials, Hauer and Giuliani included, who could not foresee what would happen on September 11. It was a reasonable decision given the available information.”

9/11 was the second attack on the World Trade Center. Giuliani made a grave error in not recognizing the danger, and thousands of people died.

Yes, the first attack was in 1993, a bomb in the underground parking garage.
That was also Al-Qaeda/Bin Laden related.
But Bill Clinton couldn’t be bothered to remove himself from his interns long enough to do anything worth doing.
So his claim that “Bin Laden hadn’t yet done anything legally against us” as his excuse not to go after him is also proven false by the 1993 attack.

Giuliani should have taken a hint from the ‘93 attack.
He didn’t.
