Thank you for the link to an unpolluted version of the history of Chanukkah. For someone still young in leaving Christian idolatry, this was a very refreshing historical paper.
Rome has been trying to obliterate Hebrews since before they marched and took Jerusalem. It continues today. They have masked over our highest holy days with their own. Much as the muslims after them who learned their way from them, they have stolen the very reason we are who we are and claimed it for themselves.
The muslims, who today are attacking Christianity, even as Rome attacked us, are committing patricide. Most people do not even remotely understand this...or the parallels from which they sprang.
They failed then. They will fail now. The truth is too terrible to confront, the brainwashing too complete to overcome with reason. Those who know the truth do not even dare speak it. But we know. And we abide sure in our faith. We teach our children almost in secret. As long as even ONE exists that walks in the Truth, our spirit will never die.
