I am trying to take short videos with my Nikon Coolpix, to help my son improve his running form. Well, taking the video is no problem and neither it is downloading it into my PC. Now my problems begin! I've tried to watch the video with Windows Player and Real Player, but both say they cannot open a .mov video. It recommends to download Apple Application Support. I googled it, found it and tried to download it, to no avail! Here is my question, is there any other way to change the format of a .mov file into a format that will be recognized by either Windows or Real Player? Thanks
I know, this does not belong in a news forum, but in the past everytime I've had a computer problem, FR was the place to ask for help!

Alex’s suggested vlc is the first place you should look. It plays many formats and makes you smile.
If you’re on Windows, I’d actually say don’t use QuickTime if you don’t need it. It’s intrusive while not giving anything that other players don’t. However, it rocks if you’re on a Mac.
But overall I second the vote for VLC Player. I even use it on the Mac.
VLC Player ROCKS
