A few years back, there was a Marburg outbreak in Africa. FR had running threads on that filled with posters who rarely posted on anything else. Years later, it turned many were doctors researching the bug who had wandered over because of MA, and stayed.

I am not sure if you know but her expertise is in hemorrhagic fever. Dengue Fever to be exact.

It is good to hear about the doctors. I have a number of emails from physicians who feel a deep obligation to MA for guiding them during the SARS crisis.

I would have loved to been part of those threads, the energy level seems palpable even when reading them now.
