Just thinking. Part of war is getting into the head of the enemy or psy-ops and perhaps part of that would be misinformation in the form of this drone. Perhaps it was a special edition designed with flaws in it’s programming and circuitry. Flaws which are designed to take affect at some point in the future after initial activation of the unit which will be built from their reverse engineering of the captured one. These flaws may include errors in the drones ability to read instructions fed it by remote pilots or inability to release weapons or read targeting information or any one of a number of traps able to be inserted into the drones software.

Anyway, just a thought.
