As someone who is from Michigan and moved south I suggest you give up in that Liberal hellhole.
You are on to something. Worst case scenario, you want to be in a community where you can control your circumstances. If you have a good or services you can sell or barter, you can get by. Especially if those goods or services are something that would be in demand during hard times. (mechanic, construction, plumbing, farming, etc).
I will stay right where I am at now, out in the boonies high up in the snowy mountains of ‘The Great American Redoubt’ and it does not get any better than this.
What makes us liberal? Is it the fact that the GOP ran the table in the last election? Is it the fact that we’re kicking the crap out of the unions? Is it the fact that we cut thousands off welfare?
I hate to tell you this but Michigan liberals are headed your way. LOL
What a dreary, hysterical article!
Yeah, America stinks so I’m gonna pick up and move to Uganda.
Alaska
For those who want to run, Canada or Australia would fit the bill. But I’m not going anywhere.
I moved from Indianapolis to the Kansas City area due to the economy.
Move to Nigeria. With the currency exchange rate, you too can be a Trillionaire.
Costa Rica.
No one could ever find you in Alaska, if you could stand the winters.
Israel. It’s the center of the universe.
But I've lived in places where you can see Hell down the road if you squint real hard, so the culture shock and other adjustments associated with going to a foreign land aren't really that much of an issue with me.
Don’t tell them to come here! They’ll have the place ruint in no time!
Jeeze now we are gonna have to build a fence on the northern western and Eastern border too!
Washington, DC. No recession there.
Any non-Texan (apparently) can share my problem :
When the SHTF in the US, I truly believe we will divide. States will secede, and local governments will take over. Being in the North East, I love my country, and my land. I even have an attachment to my house. I’m not going anywhere.
But when I think about the division possibility of the US, Not only does my heart break, but I do gravely consider where I am. I don’t want to be in “The Progressive States of America”. I would like to go back to the Midwest - Among people who think as I do.
When the borders close, I’m not too sure those lands will have me, and my family.
“I dont believe I could find a better place than my home Deep in the Heart of Texas!”
I’m with you. I think the best country to move to will be the Nation of Texas. Of course we’ll be tough on people coming from the Northeast or California...they’ll have to show a history of being registered Republican, or they can forget it. All people, from the remaining 48 states (I figure that Oklahoma will join us immediately) will also have to show that they support FREEDOM, rather than Socialism. We’re not interested in taking in economic refugees from Rhode Island, just to have them vote for Lincoln Chaffee types, who call a Christmas Tree a “Holiday Tree”.
