I saw that interview and Newt did not call Paul Ryan a radical.

This is what he said.

“I don’t think right-wing social engineering is any more desirable than left-wing social engineering,” he said when asked about Ryan’s plan to transition to a “premium support” model for Medicare. “I don’t think imposing radical change from the right or the left is a very good way for a free society to operate.”

Sounds to me like he called his idea radical and in turn called Ryan radical. Do you think the plan warrants the tag "Radical"? If so, you are in good company with the RINO wing. Enjoy.

The Ryan plan is by definition a radical change from the present, that doesn't mean that radical is bad, it is just very dramatic.

Radical can be bold and courageous not mean and evil.

But in any case, Newt didn't call Paul Ryan a radical.
